At TCC, we want to know Jesus and make Him known.

The eye-witness accounts about Jesus make it clear that he is no ordinary man and no figment of anyone’s imagination. Instead, he came to offer ordinary people like us something that is life-changing and eternity-shaping.

Here’s the wonderful message of the Bible.

"In the beginning God…"

(The Bible, Genesis 1:1)

In the beginning God made us to enjoy perfect life with him and with each other in his perfect world. Sadly, we rejected God and rebelled against his loving rule. We have ruined our relationship with him, with each other and with his world. Now, instead of joyful perfection, we experience trouble in the world and death.

“Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures”

(The Bible, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

Wonderfully, in his love and kindness, God has chosen to rescue people like us. He came into our world in human flesh as the person Jesus Christ. Jesus lived for us the perfect life we should have lived but have failed to. Jesus died for us the death that should be ours because of our rejection of God and rebellion against him.

“…He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures”

(The Bible, 1 Corinthians 15:4-7)

Just as he promised, Jesus rose from the dead after his execution on the cross. He has given proof that there is life beyond the grave and that he is King of God’s everlasting, heavenly kingdom. After appearing to hundreds, Jesus was enthroned in heaven as King over all. As a kind and loving King, Jesus offers us forgiveness, a new and better life as we know him now, and eternal life with Him in his heavenly kingdom.

"God has set a day when he will judge the world with justice..."

(The Bible, Acts 17:31)

Jesus, the most compassionate man to ever live, has been made judge over all the world. He will punish in hell those who continue to reject God, but he will freely give the blessings of heaven to those who have turned to him for forgiveness. In his loving kindness, Jesus says to us:

"Turn from your sins and believe this good news!"

(The Bible, Mark 1:15)
